Laketown Driving School is a family business that strives to provide quality Driver's Education to all communities. The company was created with the mission that students leave with the skills and knowledge to safely and confidently earn their driver's permit and license. We know that students value this milestone as a step towards independence. We aim to support that by providing an easy to understand and effective driving school experience. Laketown Driving School is based in Minnesota and is available to towns within 30 minutes of Waconia, MN.

Laketown Driving School was founded by Corey Palyan in 2021 after spending four years as a Behind-the-Wheel Driver's Education Instructor at his uncle's driving school. Corey's grandfather, Roger Illies, began as a driver's ed instructor in the 1960's and opened his own driving school in the 70's. He inspired his three sons and two grandsons to continue the family business. Corey is a licensed Behind-the-Wheel instructor who manages and operates Laketown Driving School. He is passionate about working to serve the community by helping aspiring drivers reach their goals!
